So here we go....
This is my first blog, as well as first day on this program. I'm quite excited to get going because I think having other people around is going to make me work that much harder. So some stats about me, I'm 24, stepped on the scale today for the first time in a few days and I weigh 214 and am 5'9". My ideal weight would be to get to 160lbs. I know it's going to be a lot of work, but i'm ready to do it right this time.
So I have a question. How often does everyone weigh themselves? I know when i'm trying to lose weight I get addicted to the scale and do it every morning when I wake up. I know this isn't good, but i'm just wondering what a normal amount would be.

Hey! You sound just like me! I'll be 24 in July, am 5'9" and looking to be 160.
I weigh myself on Friday and Monday mornings as soon as I get up. Friday was my usual day, but since we're doing Monday weigh-ins for the blog I've added that one in. I don't weigh aside from those two days.

Tough question. We actually have a scale at work (I know, great for everyone's self esteem, right? I work in Public Health, what can I say), so it's tempting to weigh in and see if skipping treats last night helped.
BUT the scale at my gym puts me 1lb lighter, so I always use that one :) I'll try and weigh myself once during the week, maybe Thursday, for motivation to stick with the exercising and eating throughout the weekend. I check in when I'm at the gym over the weekend, too, but don't feel guilty if I skip it since I've managed to drag myself to the gym in the first place.
