Yet to Lose - 42+ lbs

As I expected - not a lot of movement on the scale. But, I wasn't expecting much - it's the one week out of the month I can't lose. I'm feeling good about my sense of focus so that is keeping me in the game.

And, Beth inspired me by signing up for a 5k and that got me looking into what my options were locally. When I googled for training for a 5k, I realized that most training programs are about 8 weeks long. Then, I happened to go on a local news site and found a 5k on June 7th in the town I work in and that is just about 8 weeks from now. I took that as a sign of fate and decided I should do it!! So, today was my first day of training - not to bad. It felt good to accomplish it - even if it was only for 20 minutes!!!

It's cool to see what everyone has for goals this week - gives me some ideas!

Congrats on signing up for a 5k! I'm doing one May 3rd. I did one about a month ago, and I really enjoyed it. Good luck with your training!

yay!!! your 5k is the same day as my race! We can suffer (I mean have fun...) together.

I think my body is ready to get back to the gym, so I'm going out for a run after work this afternoon.
